Srinagar: The residents of Wuyan Bala village of Pampore in Pulwama district on Tuesday staged a demonstration after unknown persons painted tricolor and pro-India slogans on a mosque in the area.
A resident said that the “objectionable paintings” were found after they went for Fajr (dawn) prayers Tuesday. “Tiranga and other pro-India slogans were painted during the night because everything was normal until last night prayers,” he said.
As the news spread in the village, people took to the streets and staged a protest to demand the arrest of the culprits.The protesters raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. The protest was called off after police assured to look into the matte
