Ramallah: Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah received on Monday a Hamas delegation at his office in Ramallah. During the meeting, they discussed ways to end division and enhance Palestinian unity.
Hamdallah urged Hamas to accept the initiative of President Mahmoud Abbas to end the division, the dissolution of the administrative committee Hamas had set up to run Gaza affairs, and enabling the national consensus government to work freely in the Gaza Strip in order to relieve the suffering of the Gazans. He also urged them to accept the holding of presidential and legislative elections.
The prime minister said that all the Palestinians are called for unity in the face of Israeli violations against the Palestinian people and their holy places, stressing that there is no way but to arrange the internal Palestinian house to face the challenges that beset the cause of Palestine.
