Srinagar: Over 2470 constables of Jammu and Kashmir police were promoted to next grade, a police spokesman said here Saturday.
He said a departmental Promotion Committee met under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Munir Ahmad Khan for considering promotion of constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables of Executive Wing of J&K Police having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone.
During this process, a total of 2472 constables have been formally promoted to the rank of Selection Grade Constables.
