Srinagar 8 Aug. Welcoming the concern shown by both main stream and pro-resistance leadership regarding the conspiracies being hatched by using the Supreme Court route to abrogate Article 35-A and other important provisions which guarantee special status to J&K, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has appealed all political forces to analyze how New Delhi has been getting indulged in shameless ways to ensure total integration of J&K with state of India.

In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said “Using Supreme Court route to snatch state subject laws is unacceptable and even supreme court should never have allowed such shameless pleas which would violate the preamble of constitution. It is ironical that rather taking concrete steps for final resolution of J&K New Delhi is moving in a reverse direction, expecting people of J&K to scum to the might of Indian state”. Er. Rasheed condemned those who are claiming that Article 35-A had been a temporary provision in the constitution.

He said “Unfortunately these anti-Kashmiri elements are just narrating half of the story as the real reason behind 35-A being a temporary provision is the fact that J&K is a disputed territory.

The central state subject laws were not extended to the J&K state as the instrument of accession was itself conditional and subject to outcome of plebiscite, as such no non-state subject could be declared eligible for the citizenship and other important rights in the disputed state”. Er. Rasheed while welcoming the stand of various political parties appealed for a joint strategy between all main stream and pro-resistance forces.

He said “Since New Delhi has shown great disrespect towards its own promises made with people of J&K and has  disgraced and discredited both pro-Indian and anti-Indian forces in J&K from time to time, it is the proper time for all forces to show New Delhi its right place and that can be only achieved by giving up personal egos and all such agendas which favour New Delhi. If NC and PDP give up their formulas of Autonomy and Self rule and seek straight away right to self determination, New Delhi will get slapped and it would have no option but to restore the self respect and rights of people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Er. Rasheed also expressed his solidarity with students of Kashmir University for showing state Governor NN Vohra his right place by holding peaceful protest at Kashmir University. He said that if the students are being constantly and continuously deprived of their various rights including formation of student Unions, nobody representing the state has a right to mislead the masses by visiting University.

Er. Rasheed while supporting the strike call given by joint resistance leadership on 12th of Aug. over Article 35-A appealed masses to observe a complete bundh from Lakhanpur to Karnah so that New Delhi doesn’t dare to interfere with the special status of the state.
