Srinagar: Conglomerate of local militant outfits, United Jehad Council has said that the character assassination of incarcerated separatist leader will not shake the trust and confidence of freedom loving people of Kashmir in them.
As per a statement to local news gathering agency CNS, Syed Salahuddin, the UJC chief while addressing a high level meeting said that inhuman treatment is given to the arrested separatist leaders including ailing Aasiya Andrabi, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Pir Saifullah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Shahidul Islam and others.
“Popular separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah has been put in a narrow dark torture cell. He is being deprived of all the basic facilities. Government of India after arresting the separatist leadership has been planning to eliminate them,” he said.
He said on the one hand RSS led Indian government is using pellets and bullets to kill and blind innocent people of Kashmir while on the other it is resorting to character assassination of separatist leadership. “Such tactics in past have failed and this time also they are bound to fail as people of Kashmir have always reposed full confidence and trust in its leadership,” Salahuddin said.
He appealed Government of Pakistan to raise the issue of inhuman treatment given to the Kashmiri separatist leadership at International Forums. “If any separatist leader will be harmed, it will have serious ramifications and RSS and the puppet State Government will be held responsible,” UJC warned.
“Rich tributes were paid to martyrs and it was reiterated that struggle will continue with full vigour,” the statement reads.
