Srinagar: Kupwara Journalists Association Sunday condemned the alleged harassment and misbeahviour of some policemen in Wattergam, Rafiabad, with a senior journalist Javaid Zargar.
KJA said that Zargar was on way to Handwara when his car was stopped by some policemen in Wattergam.
“The policemen misbehaved and harassed Javiad Zargar when he was travelling home and his car was stopped,” KJA General Secretary, Raja Akbar said.
The KJA members have condemned the police action.
A senor police in Rafiabad refuted the allegations and said that the policemen did not stop misbehaved with any person.
“The policemen might have asked the car owner to stop but he may have violated rules of traffic,” he said. (KNS)
