Srinagar: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Maraz Adbi Sangam Saturday celebrated the literary genius of prominent writer Ghulam Nabi Aatash by releasing three of his books and a biography.
The function was held in presence of a large number of writers, poets and intellectuals.
The books released Saturday were Ghulam Nabi Aatish’s Kashur Mehrajnama, Kashur Folklore and Kashmir Angreezun Kay Safarnamu Mein. A biography titled Ghulam Nabi Aatish Shakhsiyat Te Adbi Khidmaat written by Gulzar Ahmad Rather was also released at the function.
Khursheed Ahmad Ganai, Chief Information Commissioner, who was chief of the guest on the occasion said for every society the writers are like precious jewels and they need to be celebrated at every occasion. He called on the Academy to enhance its efforts to promote and preserve regional languages and culture of the state.

Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Dr. Aziz Hajini described Aatish as an exemplary literary person who has written and translated 40 books in Urdu and Kashmiri. He termed these books as an asset for school, college and university students particularly those pursuing degrees in Kashmiri language.
