Srinagar: The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Friday called for peaceful protests tomorrow across Kashmir against continuous detentions and NIA raids.
In a statement issued here, Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik said that those arrested by NIA are “subjected to psychological torture.”
The leaders said they have deployed NIA sleuths and resistance leaders are being harassed and fictitious cases filed against them. “It is a well thought out plan and ploy to defame movement and harass leadership,” the sttaemnet said.
“The resistance leadership called peaceful protest on August 5th on Saturday after Zuhar prayers against continuous bloodshed, detentions & NIA raids,” it added.
