Srinagar: Stressing on the role of media in dispensing information about centrally-sponsored schemes in Jammu and Kashmir, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) State Project Director Abdul Arshid War Thursday said SSA schemes can reach far and wide in the State with the use of media.
War was speaking during a one day workshop on Child with Special Needs organised by SSA. The workshop was themed around the significance of the media in imparting the centrally-sponsored schemes for the specially-abled children.
While calling for the greater media involvement in spreading awareness about these schemes, War said media can play a major role in creating awareness among people about centrally-sponsored schemes for the disable children.
He stressed for the up-gradation of resource centers in every district for the benefit of specially-able children who need hearing aids, bicycle and therapy.
