Srinagar: Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, at the Raj Bhavan.
Prof. Aima briefed the Chancellor about the current status of infrastructure development of the University Campus at Bagla village, Raya Suchani, the status of the ongoing teaching programs; major and minor Research Projects; resource mobilization from external agencies of more than Rs 23 crore for research and academic activities (2015-17); signing International MoUs (03) and National MoUs (16) for establishing collaborative linkages; starting of a Corporate Immersion and Leadership Development Program to sensitize business professionals towards grass root level understanding of industry; empanelment of the University’s Business Incubation Centre for the implementation of the PM Yuva Yojna, 2017; that 80% of the sanctioned teaching Faculty has been recruited and 78% non teaching positions have been filled.
The Governor advised VC to devote priority attention to ensure the very early establishment of the University Campus and sustained hard work by students and Faculty for achieving high standards in teaching, research and extracurricular activities.
