Udhampur: The Commercial Tax Department Tuesday organized a workshop for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) on Goods and Services Act-2017.
Deputy Commissioner Appeals, Rakesh Magotra, CTO Narinder Singh, CTO Rakesh Sharma besides other concerned were present on the occasion.
During the workshop, Master Trainer, Saba Noor, CTO informed the participants about GST in detail.
Besides, the DDOs were informed about the Registration process, Tax deduction by them under Sec- 51 of JKGST, Mode of payment of tax, Method of furnishing TDS certificate and penalties, they have to face if they fail to furnish the same, through a power point presentation.
The workshop was followed by an interactive session in which all the DDOs put forth their queries regarding GST which were answered by the officers.
All the Drawing and Disbursing Officers of the district attended the workshop.
