E&T deptt destroys bhang on 86 kanals of land

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Srinagar: The Excise and Taxation (E&T) Department Monday destroyed bhung on 86 kanals of land in various places in Valley.

The team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, Central Kashmir Excise Range destroyed bhang on 38 kanals of land in the villages of Ganderbal and Bimlora Gunda Singh in Tehsil Tulmulla of District Ganderbal.

Another Excise team of North Kashmir Excise Range under the command of Excise & Taxation Officer destroyed Bhang on 33 kanals of land in village of Punhwara of Tehsil Hajan of District Bandipora and other Excise team of South Kashmir Excise Range headed by Excise & Taxation Officer destroyed bhung on 15 kanals of land in village Veeri of Tehsil Bijbehara of District Anantnag.
