Doda: Department of Commercial taxes in collaboration with district administration held one day awareness session on Goods and Services Taxes to create awareness among the various stakeholders.
The session was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Commercial taxes, Vigilance & Inspection Khalid Majeed who elaborated the benefits and procedures of GST.
CTO Circle Doda Gyas-ul-Haq gave detailed presentation on the registration of DDOS besides other matters related to Registration, Tax deduction, filling returns, submission of return, Mode of TDS payment, issues of TDS certificate, penalty, interest, digital signatures etc.
It was informed that the Registration of DDOs has started from 27th of July 2017 besides for any queries and clarifications participants can login on www.gst.gov.in portal.
Later CTO along with other staff of the deptt conducted shop to shop survey of unregistered dealers in general and textile dealers in particular in the whole town.
