Kavinder inaugurates Public Toilet Complex at JDA park Jmu

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Jammu: Speaker Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta inaugurated a public toilet complex at JDA Park near Railway Station here Wednesday. He said clean sanitation facilities are vital at public places for maintaining a healthy environment.

The Speaker said providing hygienic surroundings is must for clean environment and good health. He said the new toilet facility will cater a large number of locals as well as the tourists.

Addressing the gathering, the Speaker assured that the crowded places will have adequate sanitation facility especially for women.

He said the basic sanitation facilities at public places like railway stations and bus stands shall not be lacked.

Kavinder directed the concerned officers to identify more public places with a need of sanitation facility.

He said it is also the duty of the people to keep their surroundings clean.

The Complex was constructed and maintained by Akhil Bhrtiya Paryavaran Ewam Gramin Vikas Sansthan under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. Functionaries of Jammu Municipality Corporation besides social activists were present on the occasion.
