Srinagar: Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash Tuesday conducted a surprise visit to the Government GB Pant Hospital Srinagar to review the ongoing construction of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) there.
The Minister took round of the hospital premises to inspect the work on the STPs. She also inspected various sections of the health institute including wards and pharmacies to take stock of its overall functioning. In-charge Pediatrics, Dr Kamaljeet, Doctors, hospital staff and other concerned officials accompanied the Minister.
While interacting with the attendants, Naqash enquired about the facilities being provided to them by the hospital administration. She directed the hospital administration to serve the patients in a professional manner and with utmost care and affection.
In order to maintain proper hygiene, the Minister emphasized upon the concerned to ensure regular cleanliness of the wards and corridors of the hospital and install additional exhaust fans and dustbins wherever required at the hospital.
Later, the hospital authorities apprised the Minister about the overall functioning of the health centre and measures needed to further augment the health care facilities. The Minister assured the hospital administration that every possible assistance would be provided to ensure better patient care.
