MoS Hajj & Auqaff takes stock of dev activities in Dooru Constituency

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Srinagar: Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Power, Industries and Commerce, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, Saturday visited various areas in the Dooru Constituency and took stock of developmental activities there.
He also inspected the Model Hospital Dooru and reviewed the pace of developmental activities of the hospital.
Syed Andrabi also visited the Primary Health Centre, Verinag, and enquired about the facilities available at the hospital. While being briefed the management of the Centre briefed the Minister about the facilities. He was informed that sufficient drugs are available there.
The Minister asked the hospital administration to ensure better healthcare facilities. He also asked the concerned to ensure neat and cleanliness in and around the premises of the Health Centre.
Andrabi asked the concerned officers to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works so that these are completed within their stipulated timeframes.
During his tour, the Minister also interacted with locals at different places and assured them of Government’s commitment to provide basic amenities to the people of all the three regions of the State. Referring to the developmental activities in the Dooru Constituency, the Minister said the construction on various welfare projects are apace.
On the occasion, several deputations called on the Minister and apprised him about their collective concerns. Giving them a patient hearing, Andrabi assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into on.
Director Health Services Kashmir, Chief Medical Officer, Anantang, and other officers of the Health Department accompanied the Minister during his tour.
