Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after he was allegedly denied permission by his Company Commander to visit a hospital in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
However, CRPF spokesperson Rajesh Yadav refuting the allegation, said how can someone deny medical facility to anyone.
Official sources here this evening said that a trooper, who was posted at railway station in Wanpoh in Anantnag, was taken ill from the last couple of days.
But, they said his Company Commander allegedly denied him permission to visit a doctor. “The trooper died today, they said, adding this angered his colleagues, who allegedly thrashed the Company Commander.
But, refuting the allegation, Yadav said that the jawan was treated by a doctor attached with CRPF 90 Battalion. “The jawan was vomiting. He was treated by the doctor attached with 90 Bn. The doctor referred him to a Jammu hospital,” he said.
“The jawan was supposed to be shifted to the Jammu hospital this morning, but he died,” he added.
