Srinagar: Vice Chairman for Handicraft Development Corporation, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat Saturday called for innovative methods to redesign business strategy of the Corporation to boost its business.
The VC was speaking in a meeting to review Corporation’s business activities. The meeting discussed avenues for further promotional innovative strategies in detail with senior officers of the Corporation.
It was said the Corporation is devising a business strategy to both clear the liabilities and meet out the daily expenditure and also promote the handicrafts sector. The strategy envisages a change of course of business from the traditional way to other innovative methods so as to put the Corporation back on track.
The meeting mooted proposals like remodelling/relocation of prime sales centres of the Corporation and motivating the work force for participation as stake holders in business.
Besides, one-time financial assistance from Government through an increase in Budgetary Support and provision for Revolving Fund to the Corporation for the purchase of trading goods from artisans was also discussed.
These proposals will be taken up with concerned authorities for assessment of their viability.
The VC impressed upon the employees to put in their best efforts for the revival of the Corporation.
