Srinagar: Director School Education Kashmir paid a surprise visit to various schools of district Srinagar including HSS Shalimar, GHSS Nishat, and Government High School Drugjan.
During his visit, Headmaster High School Drugjan was found absent from duty. Director put the Headmaster instantly under suspension and attached him with CEO Office Srinagar till further orders.
Director School Education interacted with the students and the staff of various institutions and stressed on the need to provide sports and other facilities to students. He instructed the heads of these institutions to provide a healthy and conducive environment to the students in the schools.
Director Education advised the heads of these institutions to conduct sessions on moral education and counselling in schools. He announced grant of water purifier and sports equipment for HSS Shalimar. Director Education was accompanied by Chief Education Officer Srinagar.
Earlier, while speaking as chief guest at the valedictory function of annual cycle race organized by SP Higher Secondary School in Botanical garden Srinagar, the Director announced a cash prize of Rs 5000 to the winners.
On this occasion Director School Education Kashmir, expressed satisfaction over the performance of students in co- curricular and sports activities.
