Srinagar: Restrictions will be imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of eight police stations in Downtown Srinagar to prevent proposed UN march called by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) tomorrow.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Lone said that restrictions under section 144 Cr PC will be imposed in areas falling under the jurisdiction of Khanyar, Nowhatta, Rainawari, M R Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma, Kralkhud and Ram Munshi Bagh police stations
He said restrictions will be imposed as a “precautionary measure”.
JRL has called for a sit-in tomorrow outside the UN office in Sonwar to protest the civilian killings, unlawful detentions and arrests.
