Srinagar/July,20:Twelve policemen were among thirty-seven injured in clashes after the killing of a minor girl who was hit by an army vehicle in Aglar village of Shopian in south Kashmir on Thursday.
Clashes erupted after police resorted to teargas shelling and pellet firing to disperse protesters who were demanding that an FIR be registered against the army.
37 persons were injured in the clashes. They included 12 policemen, said a source.
Meanwhile, the girl – identified as Arooba, a second standard student – was laid to rest after an FIR was registered against the army.
