Srinagar: Pardeep Singh, Advisor Infrastructure Development to the State Govt, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Wednesday.
Governor had an hour long discussion with Singh about the problems relating to infrastructure development which were impeding progress on various fronts and slowing down the implementation of important Central Schemes.
Governor suggested to Singh to consider a selected area for remedying varied existing aberrations and developing a pilot project which demonstrates the high value of adding to Master Plans, locational planning and orderly growth, which is crucial for a tourism attraction state like J&K. In this context he also pointed to the vital importance of protecting and maintaining assets, like the Dal Lake, which is facing speedy degradation.
