Aseia Naqash tours Hazratbal constituency, reviews dev works

Srinagar: Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Asiea Naqash, Tuesday reviewed ongoing developmental projects during her tour of the constituency.

The Minister started her tour from Batapora and visited Batapora ‘B’, Wanihama, Azad Colony, Mugdam Mohalla, Khar Mohallah, Gulab bagh, Gousi, Burzuhama, Mulfaq and Tailbal.

During the tour, the Minister took stock of roads, drains, health facilities and other ongoing development works in the constituency.

Naqash directed the officials to regularly monitor the functioning of street lights and ensure defunct lights are repaired on time.

While inspecting proposed site for water reservoir and receiving station at Batapora B, Minister asked the officials to follow DPR of these public importance projects in letter and spirit.

Asking the officials to expedite drainage work, the Minister said it will provide major succor to the people from water logging.

The Minister stressed on completion of road macadamization by the end of this month so that traffic snarls are reduced and people are facilitated.

Later, Asiea Naqash asked all the officers to expedite work on developmental projects for their time bound completion.

The Minister directed officials to ensure sanitation in the area particularly around religious places, markets and educational institutes.

Naqash asked the officers of LAWDA to maintain springs in Burzuhama for aiding irrigation network in the area.

The Minister assured a deputation that all concerned issues of Primary Health Centre, Burzuhama will be addressed.

Enroute her tour, several deputations called on the Minister and apprised her about issues of their concerned areas.  Naqash assured them that their grievances would be redressed on priority basis.

The Minister was accompanied by Officials from Health, PHE, flood control, Irrigation, R&B Deptt and Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
