Srinagar: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh Monday said the government is committed to provide the requisite support to the industrial sector so that their activities get the requisite boost which would result in the elevation of the economy of the State besides creating the job opportunities to the people.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with the deputation of Federation of Industries (Jammu) led by its Chairman  Rajesh Jain, Co-Chairman,  Lalit Mahajan and Secretary General,  Ajay Langar.

The deputationists while projecting several demands highlighted the need of extending the Central package of incentives under the GST regime to the State besides also waving off the surcharge for the closed units. They also demanded the installation of 50MVA transformer at Gangyal and extension of various industries related incentives.

The Deputy Chief Minister assured the deputationists that the issues and demands highlighted by the them would be addressed at an earliest. He said the government would do all that is necessary to catalyze the industrial scenario in the State, so that more industries come up and the economy of the State gets a flip.
