Srinagar: Educational institutions reopened after summer vacations in the Kashmir valley, where rain lashed since early this morning resulting in drop in the mercury. The government had announced summer vacation in educational institutions from July 6 till July 15 to reopen today. Students wearing colourful dresses could be seen marching towards their respective schools while others were waiting at bus stop, carrying schools bags, water bottles and lunch boxes in their hands. Educational institutions remained closed for most of time due to protests and clashes since April when security forces entered Degree College Pulwama and allegedly beat up students, including girls. Protests later spread to other institutions across the valley.
