Srinagar/July,18: An elderly man injured in army firing Monday this week in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has succumbed at SKIMS Souran
An official said that Mohammad Abdullah Ganaie, 60, was injured after army opened fire on protesters following an argument in Goriwan area Monday this week
He was a resident of Hussanpora village.
Ganaie was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
“He breathed his last around 5pm at SKIMS Soura,” said the official.
Meanwhile, protests erupted in Arwani as the news of his death spread in the area.
