JEM tributes slain militants
Srinagar: Government Forces on Saturday launched an operation against militants in Kashmir forests in restive Tral area of Southern part, killing at least three militants. Meanwhile Jaish e Mohammad militant outfit has tributed all the three slain militants
A police official said that a gunfight erupted after forces cordoned off Gujar Basti in Wantiwen forests of Satura village.
He said that three militants were killed during the firefight with Army’s 42 RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police so far.
Allthe slain militants belong to Jaish-e-Muhammad. A police official said that two militants were local whom he identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Khan of Handura Tral and Mukhtar Ahmed Lone of Amerabad Tral.
He said helicopters and para commandos had been pressed into service to neutralize the militants.
Reports said that protests erupted at different places including Aripal and Wagad.
A police official said that operation was called off after presence of any more militants was not established in the area. “Three militants have been killed whose identity have not been ascertained yet,” he said.
Meanwhile Militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad has paid rich tributes to the three militants killed during a gunfight in Gujar Basti in Wantiwen forests of Satura village of Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Spokesperson Jaish-e-Muhammad, Muhammad Hasan Shah told local news gathering agency CNS over phone that three of its brave militants attained martyrdom while taking on hundreds of Indian Army personnel.
“We will avenge their deaths in coming days. They fought valiantly and sacrificed their lives for a sacred Cause,” the spokesperson said and added that one of the slain militants was a guest and did not hail from Kashmir.
