“I have been under house detention from past couple of days. We were not allowed to organize a function to pay tributes to July 13 martyrs. The government did not have the courage to fight the resistance leadership politically and is as such banning their peaceful activities, placing curbs on their movement and arresting them, and in a way accepting their defeat,” senior separatist leader Aga Syed Hasan said.
He termed the detention of these pro-freedom leaders as undemocratic. “The entire resistance leadership has a clear stand against the anti-Kashmir and anti-people policies and that the policies which are aimed at harming the interests of Kashmiri people,” he said. (CNS)
