New Delhi: Amidst widespread reports of Ravi Shastri being appointed as Team India coach, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today refused to confirm the development and said that a final decision will be taken later today.
“No final decision on coach as yet, as three CAC members are still deliberating and talking to each other,” BCCI Acting Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary told mediapersons.
“The CAC is still deliberating, formal announcement could be made later,” added he.
Earlier, the media was full of reports about Shastri being named as the head coach of the Indian team.
Significantly, the decision of appointing the coach is to be taken by a three three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising former captain Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.
