Srinagar, Jul 10 (UNI) Six Amarnath pilgrims were killed and ten others, including three police personnel were injured when unidentified gunmen fired at security force convoy in south Kashmir district of Anantnag tonight.
Official sources told UNI that the gunmen opened fire at Batangoo, Anantnag when Amarnath Yatri convoy was passing the area.
Firing hit a bus, carrying the pilgrims, resulting in death of six pilgrims. Ten others, including three police personnel, were also injured in the attack.
Security forces and state police personnel have been rushed to the area and a massive search operation has been launched.
