Srinagar: Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dr S P Vaid has sanctioned an amount of Rs140800as scholarship in favour of wards of Police Personnel who have scarified their lives in line of duty.
A police spokesman said here this afternoon that the scholarships have been sanctioned out of the Central Police Education Fund (CPEF) in favour of these wards (students) for the academic year 2016-17.
The wards in favour of whom the scholarships have been sanctioned, include the children of the deceased police officials who are presently undergoing professional trainings as well.
