Srinagar/ July,5: Provincial President of National Conference and MLA Nagrota Devender Rana on Wednesday sought action against PDP legislator and Sports Minister Imran Ansari for his lynching remarks made in the Jammu and Kashmir assemby yesterday.
Amid a heated exchange of words yesterday, Imran Ansari told Rana: “I can lynch you here! I know your all shady businesses.”
As the assemblt began today, Rana called the speaker to direct the Director General of Police to file an FIR against Ansari.
“If anything happens to me, responsibility lies with the government,” said Rana. “If you will not do it, I will walk up to the Shaheed Ganj police station and do it. They can’t deny as this is a criminal case,” Rana said.
Later, Speaker Kavinder Gupta apologised and asked the legislators to stop threatening one another.
