Srjnagar/ July,4: Journalists on reaching the assembly secretariat decided to boycott assembly proceedings today on the first day of the special assembly session reconvened to debate and pass controversial legislation for GST implementation in the state as the journalists were not allowed to carry Video,Still cameras’ or Mobile Phones’ inside the Press Gallery of the State legislature .
Journalists from both print and electronic media houses who had reached assembly secretariat to cover the proceedings are boycotting the special session in protest against the decision of the government to disallow journalists to carry Video,Still cameras’ or Mobile Phones’ inside the Press Gallery of the State legislature . The Jammu & Kashmir governnent had in a press release issued early in the morning said that authorities at the state assent secretariat won’t allow journalists to carry Video/Still cameras’ or Mobile Phones’ inside the Press Gallery of the State legislature for the coverage of the special session recommencing here today on 4th July
