Srinagar: A woman injured when Pakistan resorted to shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) at Uri in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
Official sources said Pakistani Rangers resorted to heavy shelling targeting forward posts and border villages along the LoC in Uri sector this morning.
They said one woman, identified as Shakeela Begum, was injured in the shelling, adding she was immediately taken to a local hospital from where she was referred to a hospital in Srinagar.
Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange of fire between India and Pakistan continued for some time.
Two jawans were injured as Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked firing on the LoC in Poonch in Jammu region.
