Srinagar: Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi statement terming killing of people in the name of Gau Bhakti ‘unacceptable’, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today hoped that the people carrying out such despicable acts take these words to heart and act accordingly. “Well said sir. Here’s hoping the people carrying out these despicable acts take your words to heart & act accordingly,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), tweeted. Mr Abdullah was reacting to Mr Modi’s statement that ‘Killing people in the name of Gau Bhakti is not acceptable. This is not something Mahatma Gandhi would approve’. The Prime Minister made these comments while addressing a rally to mark the centenary of the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad today.
