G A Mir urges all like-minded people to contribute to peace, normalcy

Srinagar: Reiterating his appeal to people, especially mainstream politician cutting across party lines and others feeling concerned about the wellbeing of the people especially future of youth, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has said that how long our people will live in a fear. Mir also said that time has come when all like-minded people shall have come forward to help restore peace and normalcy, so as to ensure better future of our people especially youth.
In a statement to KNS, JKPCC President G.A. Mir said that time has come when all like-minded people, particularly those feeling concerned about the future of youth shall have to come forward and ensure prevalence of peace in the valley, as it is ultimately the common innocent people, who are confronted with difficult situation besides undergoing an ordeal, agony and anguish due to the disturbances, arising from time to time in the valley, as a result common people are suffering immensely.
Expressing serious concern over the losses caused to life and property due to the continuous deteriorating situation, PCC President said that every sector in the valley whether it was Education, Trade, Industries, or Tourism have been badly affected, resulting in huge losses to economy in the State. Whenever there is a disturbance in valley, people of Jammu especially business community also suffer in one way or other way, leading to the disillusionment among the people in Jammu and Ladakh also.
Stating that Congress Party will continue to work for peace and stability. Mir added that every group and individual must feel concerned about the future of Children, who are not even able to reach Schools and Colleges due to the fear, which is more worrying ,as that, If such type of situations, continues, then, the fate of the Education Sector and future of our wards would be disastrous,fraught with serious consequences, he added.
I (Mir) also urge upon the people, politicians, jurists, intellectuals, social activists, etc to come forward to contribute to peace, because the valley has suffered very badly. He emphasized the need to work for restoration of restoration of complete peace and normalcy, in the larger interests of people, G.A. Mir said. (KNS)
