A challan case was registered against the manufacturing company namely Linc Pen & Plastics Kolkata for using a sticker for the mandatory declaration.

Under Legal Metrology laws, every pre-packaged commodity shall carry all the mandatory declarations such as MRP /PKD/Address /Consumer-care details/Net Quantity etc in printed form in clear and prominent way so that rights of consumers shall not be encroach upon by the traders.

Consumers are informed not to accept products in packed form without mandatory declarations of MRP/PKD/Net Quantity/Consumer Care details/Complete address of the manufacturer/Packer/Importer.
