Guv, CM, ministers felicitate people on Shab-e Qadr, Jumat ul Vida

Srinagar: Governor N N Vohra,Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and other ministers have felicitated people of the State on the occasions of Shab-e-Qadr and Jumat ul Vida.
Felicitating the people on Shab-e-Qadr Governor N N Vohra in a message of greetings, hoped that this auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
In her message, the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said the blessed night, during which the Holy Quran was revealed, is an occasion for us to introspect our lives, seek Allah’s forgiveness, generosity and guidance. She appealed people to pray wholeheartedly during this night for peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the State.
As the Holy month of Ramadhan is drawing to close, Mehbooba Mufti appealed people to do as much charity as possible in these days and join the happy moments of the destitute, orphans, widows and other victims of fate. “We owe to them as we have been commanded by Allah (SWT) and Zakat and Sadqat are the best way to bring these segments of society back into the mainstream of happiness and prosperity”, she said in her message.
The Chief Minister also appealed people to pray for seeking His blessings on the eve of Jumat ul Vida.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has directed the authorities of Wakf Board and Wakf Council, Divisional Administrations of Kashmir and Jammu to provide all facilities of drinking water, electricity, sanitation, traffic arrangements etc to the devotees at the shrines and mosques across the State during the night long prayers and on Jumat ul Vida.
In his messages of greeting, Minister for Hajj & Auqaf Syed Farooq Andrabi wished prosperity and peace to the State of Jammu and Kashmir and betterment of the people. He expressed hope that the holy night would bring Allah’s blessings and munificence to all.
Others ministers including the Deputy Chief Minister have also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.
Minister for Revenue, Disaster Management, Relief Rehabilitation & Reconstruction and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq, Minister for Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Information Department Chaudhary Zulfkar Ali, Minister for Finance, Labour & Employment Dr Haseeb Drabu, Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar, Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Chaudhary Lal Singh, Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports Imran Raza Ansari, Minister for Agriculture Production Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura, Minister for Horticulture Syed Basharat Bukhari, Minister for Social Welfare, ARI & Trainings and Science & Technology Sajad Gani Lone, Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Abdul Gani Kohli, Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs Chering Dorjay, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Chaudhary, Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister for Health and Medical Education Bali Bhagat, MoS Asiea Naqash, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Mir Zahoor, Priya Sethi and Ajay Nanda in a joint message of greeting prayed for well being and happiness of the people of the state. They expressed the hope that this holy night would be a harbinger of communal harmony, peace and tranquility in the state.
Highlighting the importance of the holy days ahead, Ministers said God gives opportunity to us on these occasions to seek his mercy and blessings. He prayed for the peace and prosperity of the state
The Ministers expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmarks of J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions. They also prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
