Srinagar: A group of Kashmiri girls studying in Uttar Pardesh’s Kalka Dental College Meerut on Wednesday accused the students from other states of harassing them after Pakistan won the ICC Champions Trophy at Oval.
“We are being constantly harassed and intimidated by students from other states. We are being accused of posting objectionable material on social networking sites,” they alleged.
When contacted, DSP Dharmendra Singh Chouhan of UP police said nothing has been found against Kashmiri students.
“We will take action against the person who tried to implicate them in a false case,” he said.
When contacted a senior PDP Minister said JK Government will take up the matter with authorities of Uttar Pradesh.
“I will ask the DGP to take up the matter with the UP police ,” he said.
