Srinagar: Concerned over the reports that some unregistered tour operators are luring people for arranging Hajj package, Divisional Administration Kashmir today warned intending Haj-2017 pilgrims to not get attracted to advertisements or announcements in newspapers by unregistered tour and travel operators.
“Complaints have been received that certain unregistered tour operators are announcing packages and luring people to approach them for Haj-2017 through various advertisements in newspapers.
“The general public is informed to approach only those tour operators who are registered with Ministry of External Affairs and in whose favor quota has been allotted for the pilgrimage,” a statement of the Divisional Administration said here this evening.
In case any intending pilgrim wants to enquire about the credibility and allotment of Haj seats to any particular travel agency, it is advised to contact State Haj Committee, Bemina for proper guidance and procedure to be followed for availing Haj seat form any tour operator, the statement reads.
