Jammu/June,14: A Sheep Husbandry department team reach out to migratory breeders and provided on the spot veterinary health coverage to their livestock on highland pastures in Pahalgam and other areas of district Anantnag.
The team led by Assistant Project Officer Migratory Project ISD Jammu/Wadwan Dr.Y. S. Bukhari along with Assistant Livestock Officer and other officials conducted extensive tour of the highland pastures and inspected various Mobile Camps established at Verinag, Daksum, Alangdole/Vailoo, Ainoo, Aroo/Pahalgam area of District Anantnag. Enroute upward migration, the team met various breeders and listened to their problems and provided on spot veterinary health coverage to their livestock.
At vailoo a meeting of the prominent sheep and goat breeders was also held and after interaction with them. They conveyed their satisfaction about the working of the staff deputed at various Mobile Camps at highland pastures. However, the Assistant Project Officer directed his staff to provide all possible veterinary health coverage to the livestock of breeders in their respective areas without any inconvenience to them.
