Srinagar/June,14: A delegation of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Memorial Committee (FAAMC) and All India Religious Leaders Association (AIRLA), led by Maulana Peer Syed Shabbir Naqshbandi, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here.
Maulana Naqshbandi informed the Governor about the month long 27th International Quranic and Spiritual Campaign organised by FAAMC and AIRLA, nationwide, for advancing universal brotherhood, creating awareness against terrorism, mobilizing public opinion for the cause of national unity and patriotism and conveying the message of Holy Quran for global peace. As part of this spiritual campaign the delegation had organised a series of programs at Srinagar.
Governor appreciated the efforts of FAAMC and AIRLA to promote peace and brotherhood and urged them to continue their endeavours on a sustained basis.
The delegation comprised Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Abdelhafed, Mohamed Samir Mohamed Elabsawy- both of whom are Islamic scholars of Al Azhar University Cairo, Egypt; and Syed Murtaza Naqshabandi, Chief Co-ordinator FAAMC.
