DDC Udhampur chairs DCC, DLRC meeting

Udhampur/June,14: District Development Commissioner, Niraj Kumar Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC).

During the meeting the DDC reviewed the progress of KCC cases and stressed upon the concerned to ensure cent percent coverage of under the scheme.

Detailed discussions were held on various issues like Financial Inclusion Plan of the district, Seeding of Aadhar card, Financial Literacy programs conducted by the rural branches of the bank, Functioning of RSETI, Functioning of Financial Literacy Counseling Center etc.

The DDC also released ‘Annual Credit Plan’for the year 2017-18’.

Besides, the DDC also reviewed the performance of banks under ACP, flow of credit to priority sector and weaker sections of the society, Issuance of Kissan Credit Cards and assistance provided by the banks under various Government Sponsored schemes.

Regarding the financial inclusion plan of the district, the DDC was apprised that the banks have opened a total of 100169 accounts under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna(PMJDY) till 31st March 2017.

The DDC further stressed upon the banks to organize public awareness campaigns to encourage aadhar seeding of the accounts of all those people who have obtained their aadhar cards. He called for early completion of the Aadhar linking of the bank accounts under various Government schemes.

Meanwhile, it was informed that a total of 102 financial literacy camps were organized by various banks till March 2017 and more such camps are being organized this year also.

The meeting also discussed in detail the Credit –Deposit Ratio of various banks and it was decided that all the banks operating in the district would substantially increase the flow of credit to all sectors of economy.

Detailed discussions were also held on Prime Ministers Fasal Bheema Yojna. The meeting was informed that Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd has been notified for the implementation of the scheme under which the crops of Paddy and Maize would be covered. During the meeting, it was also informed that the district has successfully completed the target under PMFVY.
