Dy CM for expediting implementation of hydroelectric projects in JK

Srinagar/June,14: The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh Wednesday directed the officers to speed up the process of implementation and formulation of hydro electric projects in the state.

The Deputy CM was addressing officers during a meeting convened here to expedite the development of hydro power projects in the state.

Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb Drabu was also present in the meeting.

Chief Secretary  B B Vyas, Commissioner Secretary Finance  Navin K Choudhary, Commissioner Secretary PDD  Dheeraj Gupta, Commissioner Secretary Irrigation & Flood Control,  Sourabh Bhagat, Managing Director JKSPDC Shah Faisal were also present in the meeting.

The meeting also discussed the issue of expediting hydro power projects in the state and also came up with various suggestions and measures regarding the same.

Later, The Deputy Chief Minister also met a deputation of diploma engineers who projected several issues related to their services and career progression.

Commissioner Secretary PDD  Dheeraj Gupta and other senior officers were present.

Deputy Chief Minister while interacting with the deputationist  assured them that all their genuine demands will be looked into and redressed.

He said the government is committed to redress the problems being faced by the employees and this regard several steps have already been taken.
