New Delhi, June 5: “Hum hongey kamyab (We will overcome hurdles and succeed one day),” thus spoke External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj vis-a-vis the Narendra Modi Government’s determined bid to enter the elite Nuclear Supplier Group (NSG) and said that in order to ensure the same India was continuously engaging with China as well as other friendly countries.
“These are continued efforts, similar efforts were being made during last 20-30 years also.
But the kind of efforts we are doing now is different,” Ms Swaraj told a press conference here in connection with the completion of three years of the Narendra Modi Government.
She said India has been “engaging” China and will continue to do so.
“More importantly, besides engaging with China, we have also engaged with other countries who are globally important to convince China,” she said and pointed out even during the recent Russia visit, the President Vladimir Putin has made it clear that it strongly favours India’s entry into the NSG.
