Srinagar/ June,5: Police on Monday said that four militants were killed after government forces repelled a Fidayeen attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official said that militants attacked a paramilitary CRPF camp, housing 45 BN, in Irrigation colony area of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district at around 4:30 am.
“Following the attack, army, CRPF and police retaliated, triggering a brief gunfight,” he said. “Four foreign militants were killed in the shootout.”
The identity of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained, said the official.
Meanwhile, DGP SP Vaid tweeted a picture of the four AK-47 rifles and other ammunition, he said were recovered from the slain militants.
