Srinagar/May,26: The authorities Saturday suspended the internet services and barred the outgoing calls from the prepaid mobile phones.
The decision came to fore following the killing of two militants including a top Hizb leader, Sabzar Ahmad Bhat.
Officials in the cellular companies said that the authorities directed them to suspend the internet services till further orders. “We are also directed to bar the outgoing calls from the prepaid mobile phones,” they said.
Pertinently, clashes erupted at various places in Kashmir after the news of Sabzar’s killing spread.
Police officials said that scores of people were injured while a number of police and security forces also sustained injuries during the clashes.
