Srinagar/May,26: Two brothers are feared killed after they drowned in Jhelum river in Gantmulla area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
Reports said that sibling-Tanveer Ahmad and Zahoor Ahmad – were washing cattle on the bank when one of them slipped into the river.
They said that the second brother jumped into the river to save the other one.
Both are feared killed, they said, adding that their bodies are yet to be fished out of the river.
Meanwhile, an eleventh standard student drowned while taking bath in a nallah in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district .
The student, identified as Faiz Ahmad Sheikh, son of Fayaz Ahmad, resident of Krankshivan colony Sopore drowned while taking bath in Veeri Ningli stream in Panzipora Tarzoo area of Sopore town.
