Srinagar/May, 24: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to trace out a constable of Jammu and Kashmir who went missing in Srinagar on May 14.
A police spokesman said here this evening that Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Muneer Ahmad Khan has issued the direction for constituting of a SIT to trace out the missing constable.
Following the directions, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar Imtiyaz Ismail Parry constituted a SIT headed by SDPO, Shaheed Gunj, Amrit Pal in order to expedite the tracing of missing constable.
Constable Sameer Ji Kumar had gone missing from his duties since May 14.
Subsequently, a missing report was lodged in Police Station Sherghari and investigation was taken up to trace him out.
