Srinagar/May,24: Zaffar Manhas, Member, J&K Legislative Council, and Vice President, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Wednesday.
The Governor discussed with Manhas the challenges facing the State and the very useful role which can be played by the Academy in reviving and re-invigorating social, cultural and literary traditions which would go a long way in promoting societal harmony.
Governor also stressed the importance of sustaining peace and normalcy if art and culture are to be promoted.
